My team, jkberna and Djodar, my various esteemed collaborators such as Siber and Avatar II of the HW@ mod, and myself are proud to bring you the Galactic Council Mod, a bold project intended to show you just what really was behind those hyperspace gates at the end of the original Homeworld. So far there are three totally new races on the drawing board-- two totally original new races-- the Czalkir and the DR1, and another based off of actual Relic concept art that has come to be called the Lizaanj.
Still in the modeling stage, this ship will fill the role of Battlecruiser in the purple fleet. Though much larger than the Destroyer, this BC is not quite so many times more powerful than its light-capital-counterpart, and is much less versatile. It's main strength is not its offensive might, but its ability to employ a massive Electro-Magnetic Pulse capable of knocking out small fleets of enemies for a time, if used correctly. Use it incorrectly, and you might disable yourself too.
very nice indeed, do you plan on using the move / folding engines plan like you were discussing when you first designed this beast, or are you changing that slightly?
If I remember correctly you talked me out of folding engines, but the rest of the ship still transforms as a launch animation. Or, well, it will.
ah yes my mistake, and that is good to hear that this already interesting looking ship will get some awesome animations too :D
can this actually disable itself, or did you say that to make it more interesting?
Um, if I can make it disable itself, I will! But it's rather early in the ship making process to get overly tied up in making the weapons work just so.
A work of art, can't get more original than that... and now for the textures.

Great design, I like it. The elevators must suck though. ;) Keep up the good work.
Looks great! I just can't tell which sides the front.
the front is facing the bottom right corner of the page :)
Thanks for clarifying for me!
At first I couldn't see much of a difference between this and the destroyer(?). But after comparing the two, I see that there are several differences. I look foreward to your complex animations that you plan.
Interesting so far. With that round untextured part in the center it makes the scale look smallish (not battlecruiser scale)- but it might not be the case when textured.
