The readme for this version is included in the download. May need to extract it to be able to read it. Contains the changelog and some other things.
[Installation]
** We recommended subscribing to the FXmod on Steam (Steamcommunity.com) because it will automatically install and update whenever a new (stable) version is posted. The section below will explain how to manually install the FXmod v1.09.54 using the files included in the download**
- Extract the FXGtest.big and english_a.big files included to your Homeworld Remastered Data Folder:
X:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Data
- Create a NEW SHORTCUT for HomeworldRM.exe . This file can be found in your \SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release folder.
Right-click this .exe > send to desktop to create a new shortcut.
- Right-click this newly made shortcut and go into "Properties"
- Add the following to the end of the TARGET field:
-mod FXGtest.big,english_a.big,English.big
Save/Apply when done. If done right the TARGET field of your new HomeworldRM.exe file should look like this:
X:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release\HomeworldRM.exe -mod FXGtest.big,english_a.big,English.big
Launch the mod and enjoy.
NOTE: If this does not launch the FXmod, try adding “ ” (quotation marks) at the start and end of the commandline. Also please note that you must switch the game language to English (right-click Homeworld Remastered Collection in steam, select properties->language) in order to play this mod, otherwise the game will crash when you begin a match.

hi im running win 10 pro, the new update for 1.30 non steam is running flawless, thank you for the update, i am anxious to play the RPG. may i ask when it is going to be released?

i never playd any mods and i like to have this as my first, so how do i use/install it?

AVE occurred upon starting the game.
Also my system is windows 7 64 bit, And I have a graphics driver than even run farcry 4 with no problems.
Please help me fix this.
I've done everything it says for installation in the README, even added the quotations as the .exe itself wouldn't launch otherwise, yet I don't think the mod loaded. Please help.
I tried out some other mods and they worked so it is definitely your mod. I am using version 1.2
Ok, I fixed it not showing up by downgrading FXG. But now when I load into skirmish (Possibly other modes) it insta-crashes

Disregard these. For ***** and giggles, I decided to update to 1.3 and ta-da everything magically works. Oh and this is using the 1.3 version of FXG. Thanks for the great mod by the way.
