Frosty: Source is a small third-party mod developed out of Australia from the hands of modder FerrisWheel from the FrostyCrew. Originally just a space for testing modding techniques, Frosty: Source has more defined goals in mind. Although still very early in development, Frosty: Source is a first-person shooter in the same vein as arcade shooters such as Quake, Unreal Tournament and Halo. The game is intended to have a very "pick-up and play" accessibility and feature many of the same tried and true FPS conventions with its own take on the genre. One of the highlights of Frosty: Source is its pick-ups, which function like those found in many other games. Apart from enhancing the player's armor or damage output, there are also pick-ups increasing the player's mobility or stealth capabilities. Such pick-ups allow the player to experience different situations, forcing them to adapt accordingly. Frosty: Source is still very much in its earliest stages of development.

Description

The pickups work code-wise, but need better effects to create a visual appeal.
