The main premise for this mod is to help your team build the fort that will surround you, and make sure it is sturdy and protective, utilizing Half-Life 2's physics and materials system. While building however, welding will be taking place, and many many things may be welded into the fort's walls; some of which may grant you victory or leave you in defeat. For instance, when there arn't enough supplies to build your fort at home what do you do? Improvise! Then we can start welding chairs and dumpsters and trash cans to our walls, whatever is necassary to keep up your fort.

Many other ideas are going to be explored in the development of this mod, as Half-Life 2's source is readily available and seems to be endlessly expandable. Although, the above is the main idea for the mod, we will not be limited whatsoever, and hope to receive lots of suggestions from the community and mod builders alike. Some other ideas for this mod are:

After you build the forts maybe the other team needs to use medieval seige weapons to see if they can take it down. Running with this idea would insue a point system; need more points for better artillary or materials. You can either go all out artillary vehicles and a have a weak fort, or have a Dominant Fort, but weak Seige weapons.

Scramble! The materials to build your fort are in a nuetral zone in the middle of a map, but either team can take them. Each person can only take one at a time to bring back to the supply pile. Supplies are limited though, so the team with the fastest grabbers may be the winners......however what if we incorporate a system where you can pick up a huge peice of metal or slab of rock with your gravity gun, but only if somone else on your team helps you out with it, by shooting his/her grav gun beam at the metal along side yours. Of Course this would be a LOT of protection, but the two people who have to carry it back will be very slow.

Although we do have some dedicated team members, we do need people who are interested in hepling with the development and creation of this mod. Coders, Moddlers, Skinners, Mappers, ect.

Currently fort mod needs help! We already have a lead coder a couple mappers and modelers, however we need any help we can get. Right now the mod is about to go under development, and if you have any talents you can contribute please come join our team.

Neat concept, build a fort then attack the other base. Never seen that done before, but there is probably a good reason why. This mod is basically a team ctf with **** that gets in your way. Each team blocks their flag with..blocks and the only way to remove the blocks (AFAIK) is to be the builder class and stand there for 2 minutes (in the enemy's base...helpless..) without getting killed, and then the block turns into your team's color. I haven't seen any real useful strategy besides the lets block choke points with the blocks. Some people actually build ladder type blocks extending into the sky, so they will be easier to see and be killed.

Oh yeah I was playing on one of the servers with a guy from the dev team... Ficticious Will or something. Anyways it is build time, and I am doing what is the most fun part of the game and that is pressing the bottom and getting the blocks. So I am there pumping out all kinds of blocks like katrina was going to strike at any givin moment and that Will guy banlists me and bans me from the server. Didn't even say a word to me. The only reason that I could think of why he banned me is that I was making too many blocks, wich doesn't make sense.

anyways the mod is boring, stay far far away
