Though the heyday CAR15 project was well over by the time the M4 was introduced, CAR15s still see a surprising amount of use in miltary circles, even in the US Army. Surplus stocks of them were sent to Israel, which still see regular use, and suprisingly the SpecFor community likes to hang on to these as well. History aside, it's like every other Colt Carbine, except it's from before the Clinton Era SOPMOD program, so there's no rails for optics, and it's got the Nam-Era flash suppressor. Feeds off any standard STANAG 5.56mm NATO magazines.
