The DH-17 Blaster Pistol is one of the most well
known side arms in the galaxy, being one of the
favorites of Rebel troops and the Imperial Navy
alike. The DH-17 is powered a combination of gas
and power from the weapon's power pack. When
the trigger is pulled gas moves from the gas
chamber into the gas converter or XCter. From
there the ions in the gas are excited by
electricity from the weapons power pack. The
energy is then concentrated as it passes down the
barrel. As it exits the barrel it forms into the
commonly seen bolt which can cause tremendous
damage to anything it hits. Having an effective
range of 30 to 120m the DH-17 is a weapon to be
feared.
