This modification will add Finnish faction to Men of War Assault Squad 1 & 2 along with multiple campaigns for the Finnish side. The campaigns will be based on Winter war's last battles, Continuation war's "attack phase", advance along Kirov-railway in 1941 and 1942, defensive battles of 1944 and Lapland war. Each faction will be unique and player has to adapt his play-style to use advantages and disadvantages to defeat their enemies. German faction has most elite infantry formations, but they lack heavier tanks and heavy artillery. Russians are well armed, have heavy-armor support, have more infantry, but their infantry aren't as well trained and experienced as Finnish and German counterparts. Finnish faction will be "in-between" the Germans and USSR, having enough equipment for attacks & defending areas. Shortcomings of the Finnish faction is lack of mobility and the tank costs.
Sorry for my horrible pun in the title.
Here you can see some of the Finnish faction's anti-tank guns. Most of them have been done by Normand and included in his perfect Valour modification. Some of the skins in the picture are still Work in Progress, many lacking three tone camouflage pattern or winter versions, thus they are not shown.
Finnish army had poor anti-tank equipment during the Winter War, main weaponry being the 37mm Bofors and lighter AT-guns which were all below 30mm.
Numbers of the guns were not enough to equip all troops with AT-weaponry and it thus lead to improvisation, like the famous Molotov cocktails. Situation actually improved during the Winter War: many Soviet artillery pieces were captured and used against their former users.
During the interim peace, the Finnish army started to buy more artillery pieces including AT-guns. For example, 3,7cm PaKs were bought. Finnish army kept buying new anti-tank guns until the end of the war. Most effective AT-gun in the Finnish Army by 1944 were the German 75mm PaK 40’s.
However there were not enough "bigger" AT-guns to equip all forces resulting in many 76mm Regimental Guns and lighter PaKs being used in the front with changing effectiveness.
im sure they PaK a heavy punch
lol
