Finnish Front 1939-1945 is a total conversion modification for Men of War: Assault Squad 2. The modification is based around three core factions which are Finland, Germany and USSR. All of these factions are either new or completely remade with high-definition textures and realistic unit compositions. Main emphasis of the modification is on authenticity: Factions have been carefully researched and in-game weapon ranges and damage system values are closer to reality. This also means that different factions will feel different and have different strengths and weaknesses.
Finnish factionBased on the whole wartime army. Strength of the army varies year-by-year: In 1939 the supply situation was critical and by 1945 the army had more modern equipment of varying origin either bought or captured. Finnish faction is most balanced on all areas when compared to German and Soviet factions. Faction however lacks medium and heavy armor in some of the time-settings.
German factionMainly based on AOK Norwegen which was mainly formed out of elite mountain infantry formations. The strength of the faction lies on versatile infantry and the variety of light armament. In the 1943-1944 time-frame, the faction has additional units which fought in the Karelian isthmus. The biggest weakness of the faction is the lack of heavy tanks.
Soviet factionBased on combined forces of Northwestern, Karelian and Leningrad fronts. The Soviet faction excels in offensive and mechanized operations. Faction resembles the vanilla Soviet faction the in terms of variety. The biggest weakness of the faction is a lack of variety in infantry and support units.
Foreign volunteersNot its own faction. All factions in the mod have some kind of foreign volunteer unit. Finland has Svenska Frivilligkåren (1940), Svenska frivilligbataljonen (Hangöbataljonen) (1941), Svenska Frivilligkompaniet (1941-1944), the Ingrian-Karelian volunteer battalions (1941-1944) and the Estonian Volunteer Regiment JR 200 (1943-1944). In addition, German faction has the Norwegian skijegers as elite infantry.

Hei voiko auttaa modin teossa.. ite oon monta kuukautta kattonu mielenkiinnolla youtubettajia ja erilaisia modeja MOW AS2 pelin ympärillä ja sitte ostin kyseisen geimin.. Mulla on vähä kokemusta 3Dmallintamisesta tai jos voin auttaa jotenkin toisella lailla, oon kans kiinnostunu ww2 historiasta suomen osalta.. (tämä modi on pakko saada julkaistua, näyttää nätiltä ja on cool) no rahaa en lähetä, ku sitä on muutenki vähä.

I'm incredibly sorry for lack of all updates and progress. This mod is not dead and I have no intention of abandoning it.
However due my real life the progress on the mod has been almost non-existent due me serving in the armed forces.
However I should have some more spare time coming soon but it's not fully sure. I intend on continuing the work on the mod whenever I can and as a perfectionist I want the mod to be in a playable state which means that I do not intend to release an unfinished version. This means that the release of the mod will take some time.
