That's a bad thing to hear, but hopefully you will get well soon, so I wish you a great recovery!

Also, it's great to see more destroyable stuff! I wish there would be more games/mods which would add destructible stuff like your mod. However, there is way too much stuff, which I would want in other games, which your mod has.

thanx!

the problem with interactive stuff: it have to be physicalized, and usually, if to much of those objects are in the game, the CPU breaks in pieces.
so you need a entity streaming system, which i have developed, which allows me to add thousends of thousends of entities in a map. i have a testmap where i tested how much cryengine can handle at ONE screen, direct in front of player, and the amount is ~8096, the the framebuffer runs over and the screenshader crashes and can't sort the 3d engine data anymore, BUT: walking back and let the devkid streamer hide and dephysicalize this big amount of entities, gives back 100% of the engine speed.
as far as i have seen the actual cryengine have this streaming too in starcitizen and in kingdom come deliverance. but they fail on fasttravel with restoring the objects fast enough, they need ~10 seconds, i need ~0.8 seconds :D

but back to physicalized and destroyable objects: it basically makes a loooooot more of work to create and set up this into the world, and once they are there, you immediately become used to be and ignore them the most of the time, BUT: playing then a game where all is "mounted" and unbreakable and not interactive, feels then very wrong :D

That explains why it's not so much used in most of the games. However, a lot of huge companies have a “bit more money” than us, so they could add a bit more destructible stuff.

It's interesting that it works like that. However, I think it's because it is hidden.

That's great news! I hope that Kingdom Come Deliverance will get some more optimization, so I could play it too (, but I will wait a few months or even years since it seems to have a good mod support).

My thoughts exactly! The more physics and destruction the better. However, the frame rate is one of the most important things, so complete destruction is not so needed.

or think about GTA5, they have also an extreme entity streaming system, and even they need ~15 seconds unless they allow you to switch to another location (change character). they do it with the sky cam trick, which masks this time great!
