Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.

placed frogmines (with minetitoll) can be currently attached to:
terrain, vehicles, boats, paraglider, players. what about the idea to let them attach to doors ? (explosion will unlook door or destroy door complete ?)

pro: nice idea to get entrance in locked doors
con: will totally break the gamerules and all "search keycard or unlock the door" missions will be obsolete :(

Make bombproof doors to keep the "search keycard or unlock the door" missions. Or make "search the minebomb and open the door" missions. :D

hmm maybe that would work, but that means the player see that for example a wooden door is NOT bombproof, that also means he now think he can open such doors with handgrenade or with a rocket (rpg)...
that sounds so complicated ;( (to implement in gameplay).

because: in my mod a key feature are the savehuts (wooden....), where you get entrance only if you do some free submissions for civilians. if you now could destroy doors you would get entrance on all huts and get all savespots without motivation to explore the world to get free submissions.

and metal doors... hmmm....

If you want to keep it realistic, the whole hut should be destroyed if you try to blow up the door -> making the civilians angry because you destroyed one of their huts -> gives some new role play aspects. But that might be a bit too much work to create. :P

hmm, hut could be burn down if you try to open door with explosive ---> one savespot lost ^^
(i dont wanna mess with angry civilians-code ;) )
but thank you so far for be part of discussion !

btw, the idea with minetools attachable to doors came as i thought about to use minetool for all standart "place bomb" missions.... (yeah, that mean you have to waste a weaponslot by collecting explosives and trying to nuke something^^ )

every new weapon or gameplaye idea which i insert in the code results in some strange sideffects in gamestyle / behaviour...

as i reworked the baaaaaaaad original doorcode (doors now work only if you spot them with crosshair, but work all the time, not only the first 300ms after you have moved the last time like in original code^^), i tried to ask for door collision or door OnHit or OnDamage or OnCollide. nothing worked ;( as i see doors also does not emit particles if you shoot them.
so no "real" door attaching or blowing away will be possible with my coding skills ;(
