Version 9.0 has been uploaded! It can be found at the Downloads page of this mod. It's still a WIP, so expect some issues.
Rangers Lead the Way! Some pictures demonstrating my character, sporting Ranger Dragonskin Armor and a FN SCAR-L.
These are some of the first shots of the upcoming "HARDCORE" mode for Fallout 3 Reborn V7. It will feature greenery, realistic guns, less radiation, and many more features that only the most hardcore gamers will be able to handle. Weapon damage will also be increased by as much as 300%, so expect to die... a lot.
"Weapon damage will also be increase by as much as 300%, so expect to die... a lot. "
If the enemy won't be dead before us, mwuhahahahahaha
True :P
Seeing my experience with tactical shooters, and my attempt to boost all weapon damage and headshot instakills with 500 % before, this'll be a walk in the park.
Hope it'll get a load of real weapons....
You say that now, but I dare you to try it on "Very Hard" difficulty :P
Oh yeah, I'm thinking 50+ real-life weapons.
keep it coming
You know I will :D
sweet.
In all honesty a Scar doesnt suit the Fallout style.
Hardcore is about moving away from the "Fallout Universe" to what Reborn is supposed to be about, realism. A a SCAR-H is far more realistic than a "Chinese Assault Rifle", which actually rather resembles the Russian AK-47.
it actually a SCAR-L
Really now? Well, you're correct, I checked my mod, and it is named a "FN SCAR-L". I'm not a gun nut, all my info is from wikipedia, and I tend to forget it when not modding, my bad.
Oh, and I also call it a SCAR-L in the description :P
would some kind of cover system ever be created and ai that would work with it, the 3rd person aspect of the game could actualy be useful then, is that in the question???
I'm working on a first-person cover system for "Under", my next Fallout 3 mod. It is a first-person only game, so third-person is not happening.
Personally, I would vote for making the weapons look more 'rusty' so it suits the post-apocalypse feel more. But either way, this is damn fine work.
The first time I played Fallout 3 I remembered shooting a dog in the head with the 10mm 7 times before it finally died. That was also the last time I played it, because I thought "********" after every shot.
This might just make me reinstall the thing.
I'm no texture artist, if I tried, everything would probably end up looking like a pile of **** in the general shape of the weapon in question. It's probably best that we stick with the original work of the artists who made the weapon textures.
Yeah, I enjoyed default Fallout 3 for the freedom, but the guns were not only poorly named (and modeled, in my opinion), they did very little damage and usually sounded like pea-shooters.
I hope you're enjoying the mod :)
