In FaceOff Paintball you can use your head movements to duck in and out of cover, whilst you pick off the other paintballers. It features a head-driven handy-cam effect to make you feel more immersed in the game and an online leaderboard that updates in-game as you play. The tracking works using a conventional web camera, so there's no need to go and buy any specialised equipment. FaceOff Paintball can be freely downloaded today from: torbensko.com/faceoff

Firstly, I wish to point out that FaceOff is a pretty experimental system, being developed by just one guy (i.e. me) so unfortunately there's only so much I can do about its flaws. Furthermore, the game uses a preview copy of the FaceAPI (produced by Seeing Machines), so there might be a few teething issues to iron out there too. That said, on to what you can do... I didn't receive an email: If the game doesn't appear in Steam: If the game is failing to load/crashing during load: If you get a menu that only has options and exit and exit doesn't work either: If your camera light comes on, but the tracking doesn't work: If your camera doesn't come on/work with FaceOff: Known issues that have been fixed and will be released soon: Fixed in v2.2: I'll update this list as more solutions come to light. I would appreciate if people could let me know what success/issues they've had with following these tips Edited by: torbensko |

What webcam software/drivers were you guys using? Please post the details over at the problematic cameras thread Also AmaroqDricaldari, you shouldn't have FaceOff in the path. It should be: D:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Sourcemods\fo2\ |

Alright, I am on my friend's computer right now. It has a Quad-Core 2.5 GHz CPU I tried running FaceOff, but the Headtracking wouldn't work. Are you able to give me more information on this Webcam ? I have to go soon, so I have no time to look it up at the moment. P.S.: The console closes a split second after being opened |

The Leaning is far too sensitive. Not only that, but the camera shake gets very dissorienting, and the AI is too tough to beat. And of course, I am not used to the weapon being in the center of the screen. Can't you give us the option to move it to the right or to the left? P.S.: Are you able to accept donations, or start a small team to help you with development? Edited by: AmaroqDricaldari |
