I suggest you leave gameplay to the designer, let the writer have his space to write the story and background, etc.
this is basically throw in to prevent somebody approaching us with the sole ability to write, unless they are a phenomenal writer. Otherwise any member of the team so far is capable of writing just fine, myself included
For the designer, I'm more interested in a designer capable of drawing things out, and designing in the sense that a designer works, not a position of "idea guy"
Basically what I'm trying to say is we are not filling positions of any sort of "idea guy" - we want concrete stuff. Seems harsh but that's how we choose to work. I'm not saying a writer or game mechanics designer isn't serious work, but we need people who can bring a bit more then that to the table.
I myself am an experienced writer, so I think in the end the first half of the pipeline is gonna be mostly my job, from story to concept art.
