An ancient looking man enters a vast, circular chamber made of a pitch black material. His stride is strong and youthful, a far from expected cadence from a man of his visage. He approaches the center of the chamber, where glowing rings on the floor mark his destination. He comes to a stop in the center, waiting only momentarily before being addressed. A voice that sounds like a BM:Hazard Course "developer" fills the room. "Your work is too cartoony." "I'm glad you think so." said the wise man. "It's just the motivation I needed."
A little taste of concept proof for some coding and modeling.
LMAO! Is that Final Fantasy I see up there!?
Lol, well we were doing a FF mod, but recently opted to create our own world. Hence the FF reference for the model.
hehe! you should just make an ff6 mod!
we were going to but decided not to for risk that we would probably be shut down for copyright. It will be a similar gameplay experience.
You can't be shut down on a free *mod* Unless it copies the entirety (or bits) of the story, in a better graphic'd engine. Unless it somehow threatens the money Squeenix could earn, there's 'nothin they'll do.
Then you probably dont know anything about Chrono Trigger and the remake project that was cancelled some years ago... free, but still SquareEnix decided to shut it down
Oh yes I do .. You'd be surprised how much I've checked that out .. But what I said was you can't be shut down as a modification - Which is true - You see, the Chrono Trigger remake was not a modification because it required no other game to run it, making it a direct 'problem' (Not really, but they can then claim it does) for Squeenix's ability to sell Chrono Trigger, because it was suddenly inferiour to what a private person had created, see?
- The CT project was after all made completely from the bottom 'n up, using a costum engine, creating it all from scratch .. This is not.
Either way, we still decided we wanted to do our own design.
