Entropy mod for Half-Life 2

Entropy is a mod to revolutionize all of gaming. Described as more of a game than a mod, Entropy will use the HL2 engine to create something truly unique. Entropy takes the aspects of Massively Multiplayer titles and incorporates them into a non-massively multiplayer game. Features like building and customizing your character as you gain fame, rank, reputation, and skill.

Set in the year 2104, one hundred years in the future, major cities across Earth are witnessing staggering levels of crime and corruption. Typically in the form of organized crime and gangs, everyone is struggling for power in the urban epicenters of commerce and trade. Hundreds, if not thousands of highly-addictive designer drugs are being rampantly distributed throughout every city. Weather it be selling drugs, weapons, hookers, information or any other valuable good, people find a way to make a living. They commonly arm themselves to prepare for the violent confrontations that happen on a daily basis.

As a player in Entropy, you will be these people. You will find yourself struggling to lead an existence, by buying, selling, and trading weapons, cars, drugs, services and more; organizing yourself and fellow players into “gangs” to lead a more efficient and powerful, fighting other gangs for control and dominance, owning property including possessions, but also property and businesses

Players will have a myriad of vehicles, gadgets, weapons, implants, and goods to choose from. To buy these items the player will earn money from those who have it. Weather it be robbing a bank, putting a hit on a gang leader, or hacking information, the player will find some method of making money. In the process they will gain experience and improve their reputation and net value.
