Greetings,
Caleb8980 here - just who is that guy!?
Well if you often lurk around the forum of SureAI I hope you know me, after all I did an in-depth Q&A for Enderal in the english section which I update regularly. For all the others - nice to meet you :-)
As the SureAI team has their hands full with the development I took the helm for updating ModDB, at least until their workload lessens.
With that out of the way let's start with the aforementioned video:
Quite the eyeturner, isn't it? :-D Also the video shows Vanilla-Enderal, no ENB or texture replacers.
Also I'm quite excited to announce here that Enderal is now content complete - that means they are currently doing just 3 things: bugfixing, polishing and translating the ingame textes into english (much of the dialogue is already translated so that the english VAs can do their work without problems).
Last but not least there already was a little update concerning the bugfixing phase - currently more than 3000 bugs have been fixed in Enderal. While this is impressive in itself it gets ridiculous if you compare some other numbers to that: At the beginning of the alpha phase in mid-August just 600 bugs were fixed and the release version of Nehrim had only 600 bugs fixed, too!
That said, stay tuned for the next updates and have a merry christmas :-)
I'm realy happy to see this update. THIS IS TOTALLY OUTSTANDING WORK !
Hype! :D
OverHype :)
Damn. Should have applied to be an English VA sooner. :(
Looking good though.
SureAI is still searching for some people ;-) Asking never hurts.
Congrats on the promotion Caleb, it's definitely well deserved!
Thank you, though I wouldn't call this a promotion as I am not an official member - but it is a great sign of trust and I'm feeling quite honored to be allowed to do this :-)
Thank you for your support, Caleb! As you already pointed out, we would love to put more effort into keeping everyone updated, but the development itself swallows just too much time. :)
I've always thought you guys had some impressive level designers, and I'm really happy to see this is still the case with Enderal, the environments are not only stunning but they also look unique and memorable, which are the two main goals you want to hit with level design, so kudos to you and your team.
This freaking mod better not screw me over irl.
Thank you for your support! Glad you like it. A little side note: The material in GamesNine's video is a little outdated by now - with proper LODs and all the flora finalized (including some more 3d-scanned trunks), it looks a lot better now. :)
Wow looks really cool.
