Battle of Berlin *WIP* image - OstVsWestDe: East Germany vs West Germany Cold War mod for Battlefield 2
After World War II ended in Europe, the Third Reich has fallen. Germany was fall into chaos during Soviet occupied eastern portion of Germany. After that, the region of the Germany has been separated into East Germany which called "German Democratic Republic" and West Germany as the result of "Potsdam Agreement". However, in 1990 unification of East and West Germany called "German Reunification" which is officially ended the conflict between German people. This mod aim to create the fictional war between East Germany and West Germany during Cold War.

I just started edit the terrain for this map and I wanted to add building for this map soon. Stay tune for more update.

Anyways, does Berlin River looks almost real? I do love Bradenburger Tor, so I already put them behind Reichstag and between Berlin wall.
I think the river - called Spree - looks as real as the engine allows. ;)
Well, I do not live in Berlin and it is been a long time since I was there last time, so I can not really say where to put the Brandenburger Tor or the Fernsehturm, but it's just a game so I think you can not recreate it one by one. :D
Hahaha I know, creating the map one by one is impossible especially from past since we was born in different era. Also I know the word Spree but I kinda forgot the right term for them. So I think after Berlin map is done I will proceed with making Hamburg map soon. Also are you from Thuringia right? Could you give a place name of most strategic location if cold war was started in East Germany?
A yeah Hamburg, that's a cool city I want to visit sometimes too. But I really don't know what is iconic for this famous town in the time of Cold War. However, you need to do the harbour, which is the most important part of the map, and maybe the Michel, a big chirch (St. Michaelis Church) near the harbour. Hamburg.de
Yes, you're correct, I'm from Thuringia, capital to be more precise. But to be honest there are no really important cities for Cold War in Thuringia, only important thing was the border line, also known as Death Strip, which was the most in Thuringia to isolate Hessia in the west and Bavaria in the south. Only other important cities in Cold War could be Leipzig and Dresden located in Saxony.
