Last year was a lucky one for Discovery, and winning the Simulation genre award of MOTY-2006 was a good reward for our work. However, there's still much more to be done.
Since February 2007, Discovery official 24/7 RP server runs on a new high-performance server hosted by Majk in Prague, Czech Republic. New ip is 82.113.48.5, name: Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7. The server stats were recently included into the Global Player Rankings, rankings for Discovery can be viewed on this page.
Discovery 24/7 has the 2nd beta of Discovery 4.83 installed; it proved to be almost bug-free (though many more features are yet to be added), and several Discovery servers are already using it instead of 4.82. Beta 3 is currently in development, and the final version of 4.83 will most probably be released in late April or May 2007. Latest beta is always available for download from our forums and website.
Yes, a website... Discovery Freelancer now has its own site in addition to forums. It is located at Discoveryfl.com, featuring basic information about the Mod itself (will be extended in future), info about the most active servers running Discovery Mod, and links to external sources. Our main forums are located at Discoverygc.com, like before.
