Demonstration of blackbox 925 AI ship tech picking, research, and economy. Plus some other stuff. titans by stardate 1080.
Video freezes at around 9 minutes. Maybe it's just me. Audio still runs though.
Great video. I hope the AI doesn't get free res, I'm sure you made sure they don't. Just saying, because I just can't beat these guys on Brutal. I used to be able to last a lot longer, but now I get overwhelmed. I think you tweaked them up really well, so I need to change my strategy. You gotta predict your neighbor's moves and adapt quickly to counter them.
Down the road, you should do an overview of each trait setup and give us tips to win :). Most Let's plays are old that don't run BB, so you can say they're outdated.
Will you be planning on adding new win conditions? Would love to see something different. Probably copy from other game's victory conditions.
btw, I always play strategy games on the hardest difficulty, because you want to see the best AI that the devs can make. So play the way it's meant to be played, hopefully no cheating involved.

I would like someone to do a lets play with BB.
but it hasnt really been ready for that until now. There are still a couple of nasty bugs that are hard to squish that would be a little embarrassing.

Yeah. There is a capital elimination mode and other modes would be cool.

Would be fun to have more scenario driven win conditions.
trouble with that is getting the AI to understand it.
The ai only knows one thing... It's better to be alive.
So any win conditions that do not follow that the AI will need to be changed to understand.
Brutal mode cheats but not anymore than it did in vanilla. If the AI is harder that is only due to it being a little smarter.
