Deus Ex Hardcore Revival is a mod for Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cuts. The aim of this mod is to make the gameplay more balanced, since IMHO the game was inciting the player to play too much in a certain way. Last Version 1.020
Deus Ex Human Revolution is a good but very unbalanced game : Playing stealthly, non-lethally and as a hacker gives more experience to the player, allowing him to enable more augmentation. The version 1.018 of the mod Hardcore Revival partially fixes this flaw as it changes the computers levels, the mini-games (8 out of 10 don't have datastores anymore and most of them are stop and nuke programs, with a few exceptions), and most importantly : Now the player won't get any xp for hacking computers and consoles. Now if you get a password or a code, you won't lose experience from using this instead of hacking. Also, when there are different ways to reach an area (for example if you have the choice between breaking a wall and hacking a door), now hacking is just one way of reaching this area and not the most rewarding way. Also in some areas, they added experience points for reaching a secret passage or hacking a door, and to maximize xp it pushed some People to hack the door and then use the passage to not lose xp... This is partially fixed. Last but not least, when you reach Hengsha, the mod adds the item Automatic Unlocking Device to the Huen Hua merchant's stock.
