Apocalypse aftermath - endless hordes of demons roam around and hunt down the remaining people of earth. You have to save the last living undead people who survived this and defeat an army of demonic creatures. You are Brick Sledge and even a Sledge Hammer can't stop you from standing your ground.

Demon Hunter is possibly the first mod for the old Hovertank 3D. Although made at the end of 2006 it is quite less rotten. It features an apocalyptic sci-fi/fantasy setting with all around changes.

-new hand-drawn pixel graphics in EGA style
-20 new claustrophobic levels
-apocalypse now story
-new sounds with several changes
-animated weapon (wow!)
-breakable walls
-and some more

.. Yes.. sort of like a lot of people prefer to be able to play games of old that some let rot away because 'reasons'. I was barely able to find the bare minimum working chex 1 mod for doom because of this.

Hey necronita, i spoke with you years ago, I made a mod for hovertank that i put on greenlight. It got greenlit two months ago, and I'm trying to find a copy of the game. Did you purchase the game back when it was on itch.io? The game was in greenlight two years, i had given up trying to get the game approved, and thus lost my copies of the game.

Could I ask how did you make the sprites and other art work? I would like to make a mod for hovertank 3d too, and i dont know how.

The graphics were made from scratch in paint. Good luck in case you try to do a mod!

I think that after 21 years of existence a game should probably be dead or at least inoperable on modern computers, but I GREATLY admire your dedication.

Hehe thanks. It's fun for me to do such stuff and maybe someone else will enjoy my weird stuff too. Well, it's a matter of taste. Some prefer old movies to newer ones despite new tricks, effects and possibilities.
