NFS-Most Wanted Exotice
RacingThis is simple car pack that I whose playing for some time now. I have new cars, textures, effects and stuff like that. I hope u will have fun with it...
I had every intention of releasing this mod a few years ago but physically couldn't, as the original files were thought to be lost on a dead HDD. Late last year I discovered the files in some unrelated backups and have been able to restore the Demo Derby mod back to relative working order.
There are some minor sorting and cleaning to be done before I am comfortable with releasing, however, I will be releasing the source as well as the edited game files.
Mentioned in the original description below (saved for posterity), is that I was working on adding more tracks to the Demolition mode. I believe this has been completed but will require a bit of testing before I can say for sure.
Both Ryder25 and Micelov have been more than helpful in outlining some issues over the years, and this mod wouldn't have been possible without their tools or knowledge.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION CIRCA 2010:
I am in the process of messing around with the physics & AI for the game mode at the moment, I hope to achieve some decent results soon, as I have a lot of ideas to try out.
Here is a video I made showcasing some of the cars that I have added.
Please note that there are some video portions that aren't on the Detroit demolition track, this is because I was replicating some parts of FOJShadow's mod to see how things worked. Editing GRID is very difficult because most of the game's scripts are located inside one mammoth database file, which is also very difficult to read because most items are using ID's and not names.
To help with other people modding this game in the future, I have created an EGO Engine Mod Wiki, various image-based tutorials, and tables with ID's, their corresponding names and internal code names, also some event data etc.
Ego.wikia.com
So far GRID has been the focus of the wiki, mainly because editing DiRT 1 & 2 is more difficult, and I don't own F1 2010 yet to provide technical information about the game data.
For the moment this mod is TBD because I am still working out some flaws in the coding, also I am trying to see if I can change the amount of max cars in a race from 16 to something like 24 or even 32. I am not sure if this will be easy because I might have to add track coordinates for new grid positions, I'm hoping that isn't the case.
I am also in the process of adding all tracks to the demo derby mode, but so far I've only added Jarama, Istanbul & the Washington circuits.. (i think)
Adding tracks is more difficult than adding cars, but hopefully, soon I will have them all done.
Stay Tuned!

This mod gives you opportunity to taste all biterness of truly race world such as random, lack of funds, agression on track... Makes game much more longer...
Toughened up economy, integrated DLC into the main game and custom drivers,Grid Xtra serves as an unique way to replay this 2008 classic.
9 years after release this mod finally adds the cars from both DLC packs and the 911 to the World Tour.

Yes, this looks very interesting. What's the latest? (It's now the last quarter of 2011). I would like to get whatever you have ready now. I'm using a Windows 7 machine in XP-SP2 compatibility mode for GRID. thx.
Nice video. GRID does some good eye candy damage to the cars. :)
I hope we get more derby racing action when GRID 2 come out in 2012 or 2013.
And maybe a true derby pit or two. :)
