Hello everybody!
Well, I didnt show you much last few weeks, and I`m afraid there will be nothing extremely interesting in a month or two, only just some forest pictures.
The thing is that I`m working on the forest enviroment. I`m trying to make my woods being as much detailed as I can (and the engine would allow),and, most of all, I want my landscapes to have an atmosphere different from Skyrim. It takes a lot of time to make every single part of the forest unique and interesting for a player, but the reward is quite high, so please be patient :)
I`ve counted how much time do I need to spend on ther forest - it is about 50 hours, and I do not guarantee that it wont take longer - customising every part of a landscape takes time too.
For example, I was doing a road in the forest and decided to make the broken bridge showcased in a picture. It took from me over 2 hours to completely make the enviroment around it, but the things like that are making my world more complex and atmospheric.
Be patient and wait for another news, and, I hope, the world will finally see an open world game in Ice and Fire universe.
P.S. Thank you, Themis711 for such a nice logo =)

Why don't you just automatically generate the regions? Or do you already do that and your just adding minor details by hand? Clearly I think formulas can do a better job making stuff look natural than humans can :P

I`m doing so much stuff on a single cell that no generator can do
I always think about the composition of the place, and how the player would interact with it
I dont think that the generator would handle this

But for the basic layout I kind of hope you're generating regions in a similar way to this Darkcreations.org it would save time and make it look somewhat natural. Of course after that it's more than understandable for you to go in and modify the region by hand.

That might be useful, but I can do all the job that this generator does in a very short time. I think it will take more time from me correcting the results of generation due to my specific method of landscaping
