Deeds of Arms and Chivalry is a modification for Mount & Blade: Warband which focuses on the Hundred Years War between France and England, specifically during the early 15th Century.
Plate leg harness, consisting of cuisses for the thigh, a single demi-cuisse, a kneecop with a rounded wing, double demi-greaves and fully enclosed greaves. The single demi-cuisse indicates this configuration is intended for mounted combat, since a rider in saddle expects the lower part of the leg to see more violence (intentional and accidental) than the upper part. But the leather shoes indicate foot-combat use, since a rider would prefer to armor his feet. This, therefore, is originally a rider's harness downgraded to armor a foot-fighter.
Sabatons were heavily articulated, expensive, and usually fitted to the wearer; so were often retained when changing the rest of the harness. The original owner of this harness must have chosen to do so, leaving us with what we see.
