Thanks I'm proud of how they turned out, just a disclaimer, they are not completely historically accurate as are the rest of the great bascinets in the mod, we needed to keep the collar area mobile to work with the set of animation we have, but real great bascinets would have been not as mobile as we made ours, you would normally not be capable of moving you head laterally. Its a compromise with historical accuracy we choose to make for gameplay purpose.

Fantastic! I’m just curious, is the one on far right historically based? I’ve never seen this type of helmet with an Orle (the wreath like decoration) like that

you can quite simply google it and see historical findings and other such concept arts, it's not hard to belive such a thing was used on this particuler helmet, as it was used on many other helmets.

You can see an example on a great bascinet in the main picture for this page (on an effigy) En.m.wikipedia.org(helmet_decoration)

Indeed, it would not make sense, as the simple act of lifting the visor would knock the orle off. And the visor WOULD be lifted, multiple times, in battle, for sure. So that orle will stay on for maybe the first ten minutes in combat, most likely.

One does notice such decoration featured in illuminations, and effigies, however, what these all have in common is that they are either tourney-related (in which case the visor being lifted is not that much a concern) or the person is laying in state (and thus is represented with all the regalia of his office, etc).

But orles on visored basinets in combat were illogical. Apex ornamentation, such as plumes and combs and crests are not.

In mod Calradia 1417, you can move visors up and down, would you implement it?
