I wonder how the riveting affect the brigandine structurally. Going by intuition alone, the "triangular" riveting for each band of plate seems to be a stronger attachment, though it could very much be the opposite situation in reality.

I think what I'm asking is why the two different styles of riveting in a brigandine?

The type of construction you describe with groups of three rivets didn't exist yet in 1429. It is indeed a better and stronger way of making a brigandine than this, and it is why you don't see the type of brigandine represented here anymore later in the century.

[Edit] Seems AsherNitin who made that pieces and studied brigandines a bit further than I did as a different opinion about that.

Amazing! I can't wait for the new update! Rarely there are mods set in The Hundred Years War let alone the 15th Century as a whole.
