A job we haven't been excelling in lately, or ever, has been the art of keeping people outside of the development team informed of our progress. So instead of writing another lengthy status report for the project, we've decided that the mod should speak for itself. It has therefore been decided that we're going to release what we call the DDK, Decadence Developer Kit. It's a package primary focused at third-party developers such as level designers to get a head start on their levels. As it is now, Decadence will ship with two levels, so if you feel like you're up for the challenge of designing a level, it might turn out to ship with future versions of Decadence. Not only will we be releasing a development version of Decadence, but we will also let you in on our little design secrets. Detailed documentation will be included in the package in order for you to easier grasp the concepts of level design for Decadence. Making the most of the gameplay features in Decadence is key for making a fun and well balanced level. To make it even easier for you to start your Decadence mapping adventures, we included a sample level so you can see how the different entities work. On top of this, we include the source files for both of our levels so you're able to see how we solved different problems.
Included in the package is a tool we use to compile our levels across several computers in a network or over the Internet; Net-Compiler 2.0. Please note that this program is still under development, so bugs can occur, and we cannot offer any support for the program. Net-Compiler 2.0 is made with the Episode 1 engine in mind, so no Orange Box support at this moment. We hope you guys find it useful! Documentation is included to get it up and running.
There is one catch to all of this though, as it always is. You need to join a developer group on our forum to get access to the build. You do this by register on our forums, and then click the green “Become a contributor” link under the Custom Maps forum. Head over there and join in on the fun!
To celebrate this occasion we updated our media page with new and piping hot screenshots from the latest build, replacing the old screenshots we had there earlier. So check them out while they’re hot!

The difference between SENC and Net Compiler 2.0 is that net compiler is peer-to-peer, which means that no servers are needed.
someone should put a server up, i want to kill someone :D tried spawning a zombie to kill but it crashed a few seconds after.
Games looking great, keep up the good work!
Wonderfull news, I might give a look into HL2 mapping, after that.

I played this mod, I could only get 3 people in but the death match we had was amazing. The mod is really awesome. I love the tight nit teamwork that you promote in the mod!
