DFA is an action/arcade single/multi player experience for Quake 3 Arena. The most obvious difference between this and other mods is the 3rd person isometricish perspective. It will, of course, include all new weapons, maps, and enemies. Gameplay Deathmatch will likely be included, but the focus is on single and cooperative play. Nonlinearity will be a key element of the mod, allowing the players to wander where they please, and choose the difficulty/reward balance they want. This will add a bit of an rpg feel to the gameplay. Technology * DFA quake 3 features a brand new particle engine for quake, for those cool fire, smoke, plasma, etc. effects. * A purchasing system will allow the player to buy new weapons and items. * A world map for the player to wander on, and to enter specific locations for missions or just money.
