This is a Total Conversion mod that i'm working on using the MAX PAYNE Gaming engine ( MaxED ). The mods based on the 1978 Cult Classic Zombie Horror movie DAWN OF THE DEAD, & i'm trying to stick as closely as can to the movie itself, well as closely as the MaxED engine will allow me too. I'm also using a DIRECTORS CUT version of the movie for reference. This mod will have the same story, weapons, characters, music, movie dialog, & grey skinned Zombies as the original movie, & just like in the movie, the only way to kill a Zombie outright will be to shoot it in the head.

- Or maybe bad news, depending on your outlook on things -
After much deliberation following my loss of interest in continuing with this project after I accidentally lost most of my work due to a hard drive failure while trying to make backups of my work, I have decided not to let this get me down any longer ( & let all of my surviving work go to waste ), & to reinstated my work on this project.
Of course this means that I have a lot of work cut out for myself as I have to rebuild the levels that were lost to me. However, I still have all of the many prefabs & textures that I had designed for the lost levels, so this will should shorten the rebuild time considerably. This unforeseen disaster will also give me the me the opportunity to improve upon aspects of my work in the lost levels that I wasn't entirely happy with.
I'm also thinking of transferring all of my existing work over to the more advanced Max Payne 2 engine ( MaxEd 2 ), that will give me the added advantage of being able to use Speach & Ragdolls in my mod, along with improved Graphics & better lighting, among other things, but my decisions on doing this isn't finalised yet as this would also add to my burden of work.
