Crusader - Sacra Regna (ex name: Sed Doloris, Sed Sanguis) is a Mount & Blade Warband mod set in the Middle Ages, in the area called "the Holy Land". Now, as you arrive to the Middle-East during the crusades, three faiths crash for these lands: the Catholic, the Muslim and the Ortodox.
Terrifying corpses of captured and tortured enemies will appear at some locations in the next release, on both sides. This is pic is taken at Damascus entrance; three knights on spike, the unlucky one is on fire as well. Parts of their armory lies around them, as the guards tore them down from their body.
The middle one still has got his helmet on; the right one has his skull-cap as well. The poor guy on the left has lost his helmet; but that's understandable in such a position.
Are they naked? If yes put some women too XD
Yes I thought it, but that doesn't make sense :D
Well maybe to the christian towns as a kind of witch-hunting and heretic-hunting movement.
You do know that the muslims didnt turture their prisoners. Even saladin says it in Kingdom of Heaven, which was a christian made movie. That proves that what im saying isnt biased.
you reading wrong books mate probably ,
Lol it isn't from books its from a movie which is pretty true.
A movie is a pretty bad base for historical studies. About you comment that "You do know that the muslims didnt turture their prisoners" - well, I know at least 10 cases from my head without reading, when the muslims tortured christians. Not to go so far my own county, Turks has tortured many people (mashed lashed captured soldiers into pieces with and iron wheel, impaled a lieutenant with ~20 of his soldiers in full armor at the siege of Szigetvár) etc. etc. etc. None of those era were saints.
Yeah true about the movie part but haven't you heard of the Turkish Soldiers at Gallipoli that fed their prisoners even though they were starving themselves? And how about that Turk at Gallipoli that stood up walked to no mans land and picked up a fallen ANZAC soldier and took him to the ANZAC's trenches? And how about the time when Fatih conquered Constantinople and let every one continue with their daily lives. Yes maybe some idiotic Muslims tortured their prisoners, which they shouldn't have, but trust me, during the reign of Saladin? Nope, not happening when he is around.
Well, I did not said Turks are some kind of brutes, no! Both merciful and dread deeds were done on both sides... that's the nature of war.
Yes I agree but you have to understand that at those times, at the time when those Islamic Empires were strong and very religious (i.e Ayyubids, Seljuks, Ottomans, etc) they would not have gone against their religion. In Islam it is forbidden to torture prisoners. When you look at Prophet Muhammeds life he always looked after prisoners of war how they were supposed to be treated and looked after. And in this case we see impaled bodies in front of Damascus. Like come on man, the Turks didn't impale the people they killed, that was Vlad. Which as a matter of fact the Ottomans fought with and defeated.
Wow, what the ****, the Muslims didn't tortured there prisoners, and they didn't strip them either, what the **** are you trying to point here..?
Not sure why you're getting angry, but you seem very confused. Historically, Muslims *have* tortured prisoners in many barbaric ways that have been well-documented. The Armenian genocide alone was rife with Muslims torturing countless people. But even more importantly (and completely regardless of history), a mod author can do whatever they like with their own mod. In other words -- relax, mate.
This is just a small addon for medieval-era feeling. Btw yes, Saladin was a honored leader, but that doesn't mean that some of his generals (and that's true for the Christian leaders as well) did not have abuse on their own behalf.
