Cosmonaut is a Half-Life Two: Episode Two mod that recreates the style of game-play from the Half-Life series whilst providing a variety of locations to explore as you encounter Combine Soldiers, Antlions, and a wide range of other enemies. The mod sticks to the formula that worked in Half-Life Two in the hope that it is fun to play, and brings about many nostalgic memories. The mod is set on earth with a very loose premise. You play as a cosmonaut who has had to abandon their space station, but upon arriving back on earth, discover that the place has been overrun by the combine. What happens next? Do you give in to the Combine army, or do you resist and use your skills to find some way of escaping? The mod was initially made for a mapping challenge that took place on RunThinkShootLive.com, called NostalgiaVille. After the challenge had been released, the current maps where updated and new maps where created to give some closure to the mod.

Hey, I'm here to report a few optimization issues I've found in some chapters in the mod. I've experienced a little FPS drops at the start point of: Reintegration (28 FPS - walking out of the beach), Industrialisation (20-32 FPS - lake area view) and Lift-Off (34 FPS - looking at the rocket)

All other chapters and levels seems to be running smoothly without an issue. Settings were all HIGH with vsync. My PC runs all Source games on high normally.

This was more of a tech feedback so you could check those out and optimize them just a little more. Perhaps others can assist and confirm those FPS drops as well. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I have had multiple people mention the frame drops. I am currently looking into them and trying my best to make the mod run smoother. I will try and get this fixed as soon as I can! :D

When I jump down the destroyed lift into the water, loading next level. I arrive at a dark area. Through a window a kneeling rebel. In another room a suffering rebel holding a wrench. I can't pick it up. I'm stuck in the game and don't know how to continue........ I tried reloading. I don't wanna jump chapters... Help any1?

The mod keeps crashing right after the valve logo every time I try to boot it up, I have all nescesarry episodes and SDK bases. Anyone know a fix?

I would try verifying the cache of Source SDK Base 2013. That can sometimes sort the issue, but I am not 100% sure it will

Possibly try verifying the cache of Source SDK Base 2013. The next step may be to try and reinstall. I will continue to look into this!

I tried.
The cache this normal.
I changed up a mod folders and the game HL2: Episode 2, but I did not succeed. I even tried modifying the folders is to replace them, but it always gives the same problem.
I'll wait for your updates, if you make it clear. In the meantime, I'll play the other mod's to take up my time. Thankful!

Now I'm trying to switch off the power generator. This is right after I picked up the crowbar and killed the first two guards. I see no other option to get passed the blue electrified wall-door.. I can't switch off or destroy the generator to get passed the blue electricity gate. I also get stuck on ledges slightly when walking around the power generator. So I'm stuck in the mod again, shortly after finally learning how to wiggle the wrench out of the hand of the dude... getting frustrated and almost abandoning the mod.
I'll give it one more chance if anyone can tell me how to shut down this generator or whatever I have to do next. Thanks.
**Not trusting a mod and not knowing all the time if something is bugged or too far off out of the obvious means I'm afraid this will happen again.....

You go...
You will install the Source SDK 2013 Singleplayer> Go to properties> Go to the last option "Betas"> You change the NONE to "Upcoming".
In special cases. You have to download other 2013 SDK as (Dedicated Server & Multiplayer), in addition to placing as Favorites.
