Description

Dunlending/Gwathurim Tribal unit, by BillBaraka.

The folk of Clan Heorotscir are a people between, due to their placement inbetween what is traditionally the realm of the dunlendings and the council controlled parts of Enedwaith. This crossroads, of a sort, has made them an amalgamation of dunlending and cairill,
related to both in culture and blood, yet not considered truly part of either. They fight in a fashion more associated with the council-loyal clans of Enedwaith,
with javelins and spear - yet they do not shirk from melee, using large shields.
The lands they inhabit are dominated by fens and moors, leading to most of their braves covering parts of their equipment with protective layers of leather, though quite a few boast good helmets, traded or robbed from their neighbours.
Clan Heorotscir has only been able to endure as a distinct entity due to the tenacity of its warriors, and though those might not carry the sturdiest of shields, the sharpest of blades or the thickest of armour, their spirit is one made of unbending stone and they will endure battle longer than any other wildmen.
