Did you guys get the boonie hat mesh as well? That might work well for the ghillie suit look.
Maybe you could show this unit with both the helmet on and off and collect votes from there. (Because the helmet doesnt fit in my opinion >.>)

why M24 use .50cal
For several reasons.
1) The M82 is already used by a different squad, as a slow shooting sniper and anti material sniper rifle.
2) The M24 is the main sniper rifle of the U.S. Army, and designed to shoot infantry, rather than the M82, which is an anti material rifle.

Ok, I'll try to explain again, read carefully. The M82's primary role is to take out light (armoured) vehicles, it's secondary role is to take out enemy personnel. The M24's primary role is to take out enemy personnel. This is in real life.
In-game, the M82 is represented in the Special Forces squad, as a slow shooting sniper rifle with the ability to engage enemy vehicles. The non-doctrinal sniper, as you can see in this picture, is there to take out enemy infantry, as it won't have much success against enemy vehicles. Thus, the M24 is the right weapon for the sniper, considering his role.
We're representing both weapons as they should be, the way we have put them with different units.

Aren't modern snipers working as pairs? Other giving the details like direction of wind, distance etc. and the other one is shooting? I think sniper squads that consist two would be a really cool addition. Well I'm just wishing here ;)
In real life snipers do work as a pair yes, the sniper and the spotter. However, for gameplay purposes we have decided to go for a one man team sniper. ;)
Actually, there are sniper teams where there are three persons in a sniper/scut fire team, i.e: S149.photobucket.com there is a swedish scout fire team suposobly rangers or maybe airborne rangers dont sure, but they are snipers allrigh. =)
i wonder what Chinese sniper will u guys make it look like.
is it just me or the angle or does the Rifle's barrel look a tab bit short?
