Obvious copy from Rise of the East buildings, and you 1:1 stole the logo and slapped some photoshop on it.

I was nicer on my previous comment before it got deleted.

hi sir, I didn't delete the comments, yes it's inspiration is from rote, my mistake that I didn't put the sources, anyway if it's not ok to copy it our time can just remodel it so it will not be like rote, sorry

It's not so much "inspired by" when you literally take the RotE logo however.

I mean, I get that you're a RotE dev, but it's literally the China logo from Generals with a minor edit (the star being being and the dragon being on top of the star in the middle, instead of above it). You cannot claim ownership of a logo you made a minor edit to and he made the same edit to.

Proof:
Cnc.fandom.com

The same thing happened to the "CABAL" logo I made (which was really a light edit of the Scrin logo from Incursion) that the C&C Legions devteam ended up using. I asked nicely if they could just mention my name, but I ain't half mad about it - I don't own that logo, EA does.

Though to be fair, I think he could've simply mentioned/credited you guys, as well. I still feel like both of y'all should make your own "China" faction logos from scratch. I think it'll be better for everyone that way and would promote more creativity and the logos would be more unique and they'd stand out better. It would also mean having a logo that better represents either of your factions, in each mod. Especially a mod like RotE, which essentially has a larger "Asian Alliance" type faction.

Im (on phone hence guest) aware the logo is inspired from the China logo from generals. However, the edit that was made for RotE, one where the symbol is notably different is a world of difference compared to literally the same symbol with less saturation.

Combined with the fact that some of these china buildings are nearly copies of RoTE buildings with the rest of them being heavily inspired by RoTE, we can surely agree that there are some moral issues at play here.

There is also a difference between using two factions from generals for porting reasons and giving your own twist on them versus porting something and adding someone else's twist on them from another mod.

Regardless, already talked about it with the dev from this mod and we're fine.

How can you "steal" Rise of the East's designs when RotE "stole" Generals' designs? RotE doesn't own China and GLA, and frankly, this looks closer to Generals than RotE does. Don't change anything, you have the right to mod in Generals to RA2 as much as RotE does.
