Once you've built a Technology Center, you have the choice to pick one of two researchable techs: Chrono tech or Cryo tech.
Shown here are two new units obtained from Cryo tech: the Cryobat and the Blizzard Frigate, both of which replaces the Rocketeer and Destroyer.
The Cryobat combines Prism technology with Cryo technology to give him a powerful ice-based laser weapon. Not as fast as the Rocketeer's twin Mini Comet guns, it is much more powerful and it does create icy mist that can damage anyone exposed to it. When elite, this weapon can split into three more laser beams, spreading more icy mist.
The Blizzard Frigate can make short work of nearly anything on the water surface. It focuses a powerful beam of ice to rapidly damage the target. This beam can split up into two smaller laser beams which spread icy mist when elite. Against subs, the Blizzard Frigate drops Cryo depth charges to freeze and damage subs.
