Description
Mantis is a kind of a parasite, which uses the opponents in order to cure himself. This is obviously lethal in its consequences for Mantis’ potential victims.

How does it use opponents? Grab them and bit 'em? x-D
It stabs them with the front two "Blades", and through them, it sucks the organic matter (mostly blood as it contains all it needs), which it uses to regenerate.
