Red Zone Europe plays about 35 years into the future. It's a total conversion for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberian Wars, intending to create a relatively Realistic gameplay, combined with several "sci-fi" parts. Be careful about your tanks, one or two ATGM from behind will kill them!
This is pretty much the EUDF's artillery unit, only that it flies.
It's armaments are 6 "Hawk" anti-vehicle missiles, twin gatling cannons, and a 155mm howitzer which can be extended from under the body, it makes it substantially slower however.
Airborne artillery is awesome :D

A howitzer? On a gunship of this size? That's a bit dramatic. Is it even realistic? How does the howitzer reload?
When it fires, the empty shell is ejected, and the next one is put in by an autoloader.
Also, I said a few times before: Not everything is going to be uber-realistic.
Mind you, the howitzer is designed to be as light as possible, and so is the aircraft itself.

Ok Im gonna suggest this idea for the gunship, dont know if you have played supreme commander 2, in that game gunship excel at attacking ground vehicles, they are fairly vulnerable to AAgun, but incredibly weak against fighters, and even thought gunship can not even target fighter they on the other hand engage in air-to-air combat only against other gunships.
I dont know just thought it was a good idea at least better than EA's, in C&C3 the orcas have limited ammunition and need to go back to the airfield, they r totally vulnerable against the Nod's gunship(or anything that flies and can target air units) the venom which in turn has unlimited ammo, it can attack air units (any air units)and it is cheap and on top of all things it doesn't require airfield to resupply so players can build as many as they can...that is just bad game design on EA's part.
I knot I still dont know all you r going to do in your mod but I just thought this information would be useful when it comes to balancing gunship kind of units. I dont think supreme commander is all that awesome but it does implement a bunch of noteworthy ideas.
