The Classic Doom 3 modification is a remake of the original 1993 Doom game, by id Software, in Doom 3. The main emphesis is that of brining the older game up to date in a modern graphics engine. The project makes use of all of Doom 3's advanced graphical features while retaining the atmosphere of the original game. This mod only works with the original retail release of Doom 3, patched to version 1.3.1. This mod does not currently work with the Doom 3 BFG Edition. Some BFG source ports are available that reportedly work with this mod, but are untested. The project is complete, and only includes the shareware levels.

Since the release of 0.56 we have been hard at work on a number of new features for the project including the usual new set of maps, music and weapons. Since the release of 0.56 we have been hard at work on a number of new features for the project including the usual new set of maps, music and weapons.

We have many new features that will be in the next release and hopefully the project will be complete.

Unfortunately Slogbog has been forced to leave us due to life commitments, we would like to publicly thank him for his time and effort that he has put into Classic Doom 3.
