ATTENTION!!

Citadel One has been REVIVED! Stay tuned for further news announcements and media uploads!!! This is not a test, this is real people!!!

The Black Mesa Research facility has new tenants.

The Universal Union, the Combine Empire. They have come from across time and space to inhabit this nuked ruin, and their synthetic troops move with purpose.

Where it all started has been turned into a massive stronghold, a right hand to an impossibly large conquering force. It is through here that quantum entanglement rang true; it was here the first gunmetal oblesk rose out of the ground. The Black Mesa around Citadel One is a natural protection. Miles of twisting, broken hallways and shifting tectonic plates keep visitors out. A massive antlion hive, grudge-holding vortigaunt tribes, and thousands of zombies kill any would-be sabateurs.

A massive crater, caused by a nuclear detonation, has left the facility bathed in strong radiation. This pockmark in the earth sets the tone for the rest of the dark halls: desolation.

For those that make it past the facility, death is patient on synthetic feet; a bastion of the combine's invasion force waits here, bloodthirsty. Past all that is the core of the first citadel, nestled right in Anomalous Materials' former Anti-Mass Spectrometer.

The seven hour war did not eradicate all bastions of military discipline; the few remaining operators of the now-defunct Central Intelligence Agency have been waiting for their chance since the Seven Hour War. It was risky, but a weakness in all these defenses was found.

Before the one Free-Man was ever brought out of stasis, there was another right man in the wrong place.

It made all the difference in the world. Wake up, and smell the ashes.

"There is a door.

Miles below the earth, under rock and stone and dirt, lies a hidden tomb, holding radiation and horror, it's corpse ridden hallways echoing with the screams of the dying, vocal chords of human and alien."

This sends chills down my spine. Excellent. Totally gets my imagination going. Tracking.

Good luck with this mod. It looks very interestign, and I wouldn't mind trying it out myself. However, the goals that you have set for this mod seem a little extreme, and unbelievable.

I'll give this mod a shot, I guess. Though, it all sounds a bit high concept for a mod, to be frank. All this talk of realism and a thick layer of marketing hype - be careful, words can come back to bite you in the ***.
