yeah, well made, but still needs one more detail, bushes must be shorten and add some stumps, shooting range was always cleared.
PS: if bushes were used to hide positions they would be used as covering from above.
such a foxhole could be also used for placing some cannons with AA ammo or howizers (ofc bigger size hole is deemed)
awesome modeling! really like the way you make ur maps!
Why yes, there are a lot of historical books written about the methods and the weapons of WWII. TripWire Interactive should have some, check the Axis History Fans website for more.
The best civilian available source that I can reccomend you are the Osprey Publishing books. The wrote a series about the Axis and the Soviet field fortifications circa 1941-1945 and some about the common tactics company and platoon wise.
Amazing job!
WIP
Really great work, are those custom trenches? I'd like to know how to make the cut_area parts!
Yeah as far as I'm concerned they are custom built. You have to make polygons smaller and dig into the place.
Love IT
;D

Did you guys based it on your own imagination or on actual data on Soviet field fortifications?
own ideas. Do you have a guide about soviet foxhole models? I would very much like to base my stuff on historical data.
