New Review (Original Review [10/10 on Mar 16, 2018] Updated [8/10 May 3, 2020])

I originally gave this mod a 10/10 for being unique and straight up awesome when the original demo came out. While there were a couple bugs and oddities that would pop up, I never experienced any issues myself. The only "issues" I would encounter was that Felucia didn't have the Rebel side finished and Hoth would crash. Other than that, I thought the demo was really well made and is still one of my favorite mods made.

The CW beta release is the opposite really. Wonderful models and unique looks to everything presented (on the republic side at least), but the gameplay is severely lacking. The CIS side has a clear advantage on very map and it is really a shame.

BUC is still looked upon as a wonderful mod in my eyes but the new 2.0 beta is a real letdown. The demo is still compatible in it's own folder and can be played fine. I strongly recommend the demo *and* the beta just so you get the feel for it. Still a good mod (8/10 is goo ain't it), and it suffers mostly due to the new beta being limited, unfinished and extremely unbalanced.

This Mod is truly one of the master Peaces, it may be only in a demo, but since more content is coming im going to believe that it will be the best mod next to BF3 Legacy, This is just too insane XD

This mod brings a total new way of playing the OG SWBF 2.

I play a lot at this mod, it is AWESOME. From the new HUD to the new anims with each new units I highly recomend! This is what I call a must have in your addon folder ;)

There were no real problems with extensive crashing issues. Coruscant & Bespin Cloud City crashed for me on the Mandalorian mode automatically. SIDE NOTE: That being said my game is glitched where it shows I have mods installed but I do NOT, there was an empty addon folder when i installed this mod as the instructions required which could have possibly made that era crash. I am not saying you will experience this but I did so I thought I would share that experience. This is still in a BETA mode so I want to be unbiased here and give this mod a 7/10 as there is going to be additions & improvements. There are a lot of great game modes & sides you can play as which to me is a big positive. I LOVE Mandalorians & Order 66 modes but as said I want to be unbiased here and there will most likely be A LOT of new content added to the final version. I will change my 7/10 rating to probably a 9 or 10/10 once I see the complete version. Thanks to Cdt. Fox, Allumette & CT-108 for the time & effort put into this mod!

Side note: I feel those who gave this mod a 10/10 (with the exception of a few reviewers) did not really go in depth & talk about positives & negatives of this mod but who am I tell people how they should review mods.

Here we have a small French review for any French wondering if this mod is worth playing:

Honnêtement je suis épaté. Ce mod dépasse mes attentes et de loin. L'équipe de développement nous annonce une demo et en fait on se retrouve avec quelque chose de bien plus complet, offrant une re-jouabilité non négligeable.

Pour ce qui est du mod excepté Hoth je n'ai pas encore eu un seul bug. Là encore, le terme de "demo" est redéfinit, on nous donne presque quelque chose de finit !
Ce qui m'a frappé en premier lieu c'est la qualité des effets, (particulièrement l'emp) la nouvelle anim et enfin les différents reskin proposés.
La rotation des skins et vraiment une bonne idée, à garder !
Enfin pour ce qui est de la nouvelle difficulté, ça ne me dérange pas trop au contraire chaque kill est d'autant plus satisfaisant. (le screeshake est plus une question d'habitude qu'autre chose)

Chapeau bas messieurs, vraiment.

PS: CT-108, pour Dagobah je me serai attendu à quelques cadavres de clones, vu que c'est un Venator datant de TCW.

i didn't put less because of all the work. this mod is overall unenjoyable.

at first i liked the brutal damage of weapons, the recoil effect and the camera shaking when getting hit. it gave a sense of immersion and forced you to hide.

but in the end it does not play well with this game.

what i liked:
■ the new effects
■ the overall weapon feeling
■ the attempt at adding new class

what i disliked
■ camera shaking when getting hit making droidekas unplayable. and jedi a pain to play.
■ brutality of weaponery on little open maps where AI focus you to death.
■ clone helmet in fps view. fun at first, cumbersome afterwards.
■ magnaguard useless melee only unit.
■ some maps are just badly designed. i loved the plains but hated the first felucia map. you have unmovable AT-TE with only the turret useable and swarms of droide vehicles running around...
■ 3rd person camera sucks. too much zoomed in. problematic with tall droides or jetpack users.
■ some slow infantry is really slow.
■ limited missile ammo for vehicles. the vehicle spam is real. but you wont have enough to deal with all of them.
■ ugliness of some new weapons.
like really? a barret at rifle model for a laser sniper?...

in conclusion , an original mod that do change the gameplay quite a bit and add nice effetcs. but some maps are too tiny for the mods or plainly bad.
the core gameplay has been altered to the point of killing the fun and even makes some of the stuff unplayable.

Blue man

This mod is a challenge to you me veterans and beginner's of the BF2 community with its altered hard-core AI Screen shake system recoil and altered camera angle Battlefront Ultimate Commander makes BF2s Vanilla Elite AI look like a walk in the park The amount of quality this team goes through as i see post after post of outstanding work stuff like BUC Phase 1 Clone Helmet completely from scratch and absolutely outstanding the gorgeous looking FX the finer detail and quality is (if you couldn't tell) impeccable you just have to look at the screenshots and know that these guys have spent hours upon hours for this mod pouring there heart and soul out and i can only appreciate the whole work they do for us i really enjoy the gameplay this mod has to offer difficult most of the time (To some it can be a frustration) a challenge is what this community might need there arnt alot or many mods out there that really challenges the player the way this mod does aswell as jaw dropping custom units (as of The Clone Wars update)
there are also tremendous quality maps from the team with great design layout and tremendous quality in textures these maps are a blast to play on whether its Conquest or new game modes like Order 66 Mandalorains Hunt i do highly recommend this mod if the BF2 AI is beneath your level of difficulty as this mod is difficult and ton of fun to master for now both the CW and GCW are separated (The Download file for BUC CW i warn is big) but I can tell you either is fun to play as for fans of BF2 Congrats to Fox and the Team for this wonderful mod its exciting to hear more news about this mod in the comeing future and I wish the best and so does everyone in the community <3
