The official release of Ice Age mod features enhanced performance, more map ambients, a new weapon, & an additional map.
Ladies & gentlemen, I present to you the long-awaited official release of Carnivores Ice Age: The Canon Extended!
The crash fix discovered by Jvirus has been implemented (menu theme had to be changed to C2 theme in order for it to work).
I have added the Hills of Ravaren map with the creatures of Carnivores 2 as map ambients. This includes: Allosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Dimetrodon, Dimorphodon, Gallimimus, Moschops, Parasaurolophus, Pteranodon, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, & Velociraptor. The Mosasaurus has been added to that map as well.
Not counting the map ambients of Hills of Ravaren, I have added 3 more map ambients: Castoroides, Dinocrocuta, & Paraceratherium. All of these creatures I have provided sound work for. With the addition of Castoroides & Dinocrocuta, I have finished the Far North Old DLC pack.
My good friend Curious Cancer (the modder of the Mandibles Redux & Triassic Redux) has resounded & transported the Daedon skin by RK over to the newer model version of Daeodon. It has been renamed Archaeotherium.
Last but not least, the Tactical Pistol has been swapped out for murtburt's new Marksman Rifle.
I forgot to resound Poharex's Auroch so i will release it in a patch/DLC whenever i get around to working on it.
A great mod! Here are my thoughts.
I think it would benefit from an 8th map, and the 7th map could use the Ceratosaurus, the T-Rex and the Amargasaurus. Also, to differentiate the dinosaurs from the ones found in Carnivores + and Carnivores 2, maybe make them look like the ones found in Carnivores Migration (minus the Amargasaurus).
