Carnivores Custom Edition (CCE) started as humble community mod using the Carnivores source-code. It's now evolving into a full-fledged engine redesign which basically turns the world of Carnivores upside down and shakes it all around before setting it back down on the ground again. The mod is already showing huge improvements to the existing engine such as AI and Weapon improvements, our aim is to eventually have a hunting engine that displays an ecosystem full of varied and rich AI as well as the joys of blasting a vicious Carnivore.
No it isn't in-game yet, or I'd be posting a news article about it. I still have to make animations for the following sequences:

This is what it will hopefully look like once we finish the animations and get it in the game engine, and also once we add in an iron-sights feature (which will cause the rifle to scope in close than most other weapons)
The Sniper Rifle is the strongest standard weapon available, it has 50cal rounds that could punch a whole even through a Pachycephalosaurus's skull. It fires much more slowly than it's semi-auto counterpart, the Action Rifle, and creates a lot of sound and light which attracts Carnivores.
The weapon is bulky and makes it impossible to run with while it's equipped.
Has a 5-round magazine.
