The demo version of Carnivores: Boreal Isles is out now!
This demo includes:
- 2 ambient animals (Eohippus, Teratornis).
- 7 huntable animals (Panochthus, Ancylotherium, Barbourofelis, Eremotherium, Phorusrhacos, Emboloteriy, Entelodon).
- 2 weapons (Blaster Pistol, Semi-Auto Shotgun).
- 1 map (Zdenek Alps).
•INSTALLATION
To run the demo adequately, follow the next steps:
1) Right click on mod icon (.exe file) and select compatibility mode
for Windows98/ME, then select "Apply" and "Accept".
2) Run the mod, create your profile and go to OPTIONS. There, look for
VIDEO DRIVER and select "DIRECT3D" (in case that you have issues with
that renderer, choose "3DFX").
3) Then, in AUDIO DRIVER, choose "DIRECT SOUND 3D".
4) Set Resolution to 1600x1200 (minimum acceptable is 1024x768).
(In case that you use "3DFX" renderer, select 1024x768 as maximum).
5) select "ON" for 3D Shadows option.
6) Select "ON" for Fog option.
7) select "HIGH" for Textures option.
8) Exit the mod and enter again to play the demo with best performance.

This is a demo version!

HELLO AND I HAVE TROUBLES LAUNCHING CARNIVORES DEMO AND WHEN I CLICK ON BUTTONS HUNT SO I GET ERRORS AS FOR EXAMPLE HEAP ALLOCATION ERROR AND WHY I DID ALL SETTINGS CORRECTLY ACCORDING TO YOUR INSTALLATION TUTORIAL AND PLEASE SEND ME SOME GOOD SOLUTION OR MAKE SOME GOOD PATCH OR FIX FOR THOSE TROUBLES ?! AND BEFOREHAND THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING ?! WITH GREETINGS YOUR BIG CZECH FAN AND FRIEND TOMAS ALIAS DOKTORXP ?! -))
Try these steps:
Right click on Boreal Isles.exe file, scroll down and go to Properties. There, click on Compatibility tab and go to Compatibility mode option. Check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows 98/ Windows ME". After this step, click on "Apply" and "ok" options.
Now, start the mod and test it.
I've did it 3 times and didn't worked, the mod runs only on Direct 3D? Since it don't work on Software:(
