So basically, my laptop is a piece of crap. It's been having issues since pretty much day 1, but I don't have the resources to get a new one. I've sent it in to be repaired, but it's never solved the countless issues I've had. Usually when it boots up to a black screen, I can perform a system restore point and bring it back. For some reason, this time it said I had no system restore points. Eventually I was forced to reset my laptop, and with that all the files that I had on it. I've tried to find some way to recover the files, but it looks like there's nothing left. The entire Call of duty main folder is just gone, and all the mod files with it.
It brings up deleted files for LINKS to the mod, but I can't seem to find anything that's actually from the mod itself. I'm not really sure what to do now. I could completely redo the mod from scratch, but that would take a long time trying to do everything all over again. What do you guys think I should do?
yep same thing happened to me, I lost all my skinning templates but I'm currently remaking them its just time consuming (Sad face)
I'm just imagine, how it to lose all, that you have been doing for so long time...

I had a hard drive wipe a while back, don't spend any money on any recovery programs (they aren't a guarantee to work and it would all be unorganized/no names). Sadly, unless you had some of it backed up in a cloud somewhere its lost. You would be better off redoing it from scratch, it would be a bit easier the second time around since it's all familiar territory. But I can understand if you don't choose to redo the mod, its time consuming work. Whatever you decide to do in future, I wish you luck!

Bro, how sad to read this, besides I could see that you were carrying an incredible job and that you have missed because of other factors, just **** off anyone.
I understand you, a few years ago the same thing happened to me, I had a long job modifying the game and suddenly one day out of nowhere my hard drive died, I was very angry XD but at least I remembered the things I had done and how I had done them done, so I started working again but always making a backup, which until today I still do, I suggest you do the same if you do your job again, and being totally honest, it would be amazing and I would be very glad if you came back to create the mod that you were doing, when I saw in your mod that you had discovered the way that the soldiers would pass from their first weapon to their handgun for example, I could realize that your mod had many more and better details than many others mods, therefore I tell you that it would be great if you could do your job again, sorry for the length of my text, greetings and much success brother, take care and I hope to hear from you and your mod soon. :D
