MAPPERS AND VOICE ACTORS WANTED! This is the OFFICIAL demo for Black Forest. This mod takes place in The Black Forest facility, a top secret research facility operating in Klebeland, in numerous locations. The Facility that you are bound to is the research facility in New Sutton're, the largest Black Forest facility in Klebeland.
Another mod that feels like it was created before the developer was really ready to make a full experience.
The level design is really shoddy at times. I mean, the first room you start in has to garage doors on one end, then you go through a hall to the next room and look back to so that those garage doors, on the same wall, are now a double door. What I mean by that is that the map lacks any sense of the real world and is one of those mods where the map FEELS like a video game map: ladders than only go to where you need them to, halls with nothing except the door the player goes through next, rooms that connect that would never connect in real life, the list goes on. On top of that, the mod is visual awful with really poor use of lighting, textures, and detail overall. I'd like to see this developer come back in the future with more experience and try again. The passion is there, just not the skill.
Overall a pretty poor experience, but it wasn't completely awful.
Although I can see from the screenshots this "demo" is still no where near where it should or needs to be, it lacks environment, lighting, textures, battle sequences and location detail, who am I, where am I what am I doing here etc etc. It has no link to a forest and has some of the worst level design I have ever seen, I didnt attack one single zombie in the whole 10 minutes of playing. Towards the end you get stuck and in a few places theirs things that make me feel the developer has not actually done a thorough check of the level before sending it out. Their is huge potential here but sadly none of it works due to the simplicity of both levels, lighting, texturing pretty much the entire "demo" needs to be reworked from the ground up.
