BF2 rendered useless after Arctic Warfare removal Thread - Bf2 Arctic Warfare mod for Battlefield 2

I know, I know, old thread. Can't play any BF2 mods after installing & removing this Arctic Warfare mod. I'm on a Windows 8.1 Pro PC w/ Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti. Been playing BF2 for many moons, generally AIX 2.0, AIX 2.0 Mini Mod, and NAW. I downloaded the AW mod 3 days ago, played for a couple minutes, didn't like it that much, so I removed it using the removal utility included in the install. Now, my BF2 mods load all the way to the loadouts screen. However, I can't see the loadouts or the map, in fact I can only see the background of that screen. I can't see my weapon, can't go anywhere, but I can watch the battle going on from that point. I also noticed the game doesn't hang at 62% like it always does and it doesn't go to full screen automatically. It opens minimized in the task bar at the bottom of the screen. If I click on it, it goes full screen. Any idea what the AW mod touched, that is now not operating as it was before? Thank you for any guidance you have!
