The Better Lutes Series attempts to add realism and usability to the Morrowind game world by adding in playable lutes. Four different Concepts have been released so far. One is the concept of random songs being played for Gold when you decide to play a song. Another is the same as the first, only with Magic effects being used as reward. The third is having a list of playable songs being shown, allowing the player to select the song he/she wants to play. The fourth concept is to allow the player to equip the lute, ready it, and play individual notes or Chords to construct his/her own song. All four concepts have been released and are fully playable.

Description

This Mod Lets the Player Play a lute by using the Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End, and Page down keys to play notes, and the arrow keys to play chords (G, C, Em, D).

Finally! I get to be a Bard. Honestly I have no idea why it took so long for someone to come up with this, I'm just glad it has been done.
It feels like something you wanted to play as but never got the chance, like playing as a werewolf or necromancer in Oblivion.
I use the arrow keys for movement though, I would like to be able to play it while traveling... any suggestions?

If you know the basics of scripting, you can use Mwedit to edit the scripts used for the lute. Using the guide here Mwse.wikispaces.com you can substitute for the keys you want to play it with. Other thing you could try is setting your Speed to 0 while playing it.

I know that no one will probably response me, but I still need to ask: Is there a way to add my own songs? I mean, I will start to play a lute and it will play something from Powerwolf, or Sabaton or any other of my favorite bands.
