Battleground 44 is inspired by and aims to be a modern HD reimagining of the 2002 classic PC game BF1942. The mod will feature more classes than the original game had, and will also aim to do away with unrealistic historically incorrect equipment. No longer will British use American weapons and vehicles. Japanese will also no longer be stuck to using German equipment and weapons. All factions will be using historically authentic equipment, weapons and vehicles.

It'd be nice to see the Italians in the mod. They never seem to appear in any major FPS games set in WW2.

You can find them in FH2.

Again that's a mod. I mean like actual games made by either an indie or triple a company.

Well you wrote: "major FPS games set in WW2"
Personally, I would put FH2 in that category.
It's far more than just a mod, and light years ahead of all the triple A drivel.
Have you played it lately?
If not, I highly recommend it! :-)

I have played it. I'd actually put it on the same level as Project Reality IMHO.

Description

The Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri ("Hummingbird") was a single-seat open cockpit intermeshing rotor helicopter, or synchropter, produced by Anton Flettner of Germany. The Flettner Fl 282 was the world's first series production helicopter. The first two "A" series prototypes had enclosed cockpits; all subsequent examples had open cockpits and were designated "B" series.
