Battleground 44 is inspired by and aims to be a modern HD reimagining of the 2002 classic PC game BF1942. The mod will feature more classes than the original game had, and will also aim to do away with unrealistic historically incorrect equipment. No longer will British use American weapons and vehicles. Japanese will also no longer be stuck to using German equipment and weapons. All factions will be using historically authentic equipment, weapons and vehicles.

Thanks. Yeah having the actual heightmaps really does help to make this feel like the 1942 remaster we all wanted BF5 to be. Visual fidelity is obviously not the same as Frostbite 3, but we are pushing the fidelity of the Refractor 2 engine to the absolute limit. Plus that Reshade and Ray Tracing really do help it to pop graphically.

Description

Here is one of our newest 1942 maps remastered for 1944 mod. This is the iconic Battle of Britain map where the Luftwaffe take off from Continental Europe and bomb Britain. This map has been a long time coming, but we think it is a really beautiful rendition of the original map. It has full navmesh and in the screenshots you can see it rendered with the ReShade Ray Tracing plugin.
